During the tweet-up, priority consideration will be given to questions that address equity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM); sexual harassment and bullying; athletics; career and technical training; and education for pregnant women and students who have children.

Title IX
Did you know that 2012 is the 4oth anniversary of Title IX? To commemorate that event AAUW will be hosting a "tweet-up", with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, this Friday , Jan. 6th at 4 p.m. EST. Questions will be answered by Secretary Duncan, Russlynn Ali, assistant secretary for civil rights at the Department of Education, and Lisa Maatz, AAUW’s director of public policy and government relations. Your questions can be submitted to the AAUW Facebook page, or tweet them using the hashtag #T9Talk.
