As 2011 comes to a close, I would like to express my gratitude to you for being a part of VGIF's work to create new beginnings and self-sustainability for women in developing countries. Your support makes this work possible!
During the coming year, we hope to see you out in the community at the following events: In February we will repeat our successful grant-writing workshop held last year during the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) annual meeting at the UN. We will again feature a project director from a VGIF-funded organization, this time from Uganda. During March and April, we will be represented at several AAUW State Conventions nationwide as well as internationally with various regional and countrywide conferences related to IFUW held throughout 2012. In October, we plan to support the visit of a director of a funded project to selected US locations and we hope that you will be able to meet her and hear first-hand how your contributions have changed the world for the better. And if you are ever in New York, please stop by the office an meet the VGIF staff!
